Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) will be giving all account holders a rebate of two sen per kilowatt hour effective from 1st Jan 2021.
“The government has agreed to also maintain the TNB basic tariff average at 39.45sen per kilowatt hour for 2021,” said Energy and Natural Resources Minister Datuk Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah at a press conference on 23rd December 2020.
Shamsul added that the decision was made to further TNB’s Second Regulatory Period (RP2) (2018-2020) under the Incentive Based Regulation mechanism until 31st December 2021.
According to Shamsul, the rebate will run for six months until 30th June.
