Sunway Big Box, the new retail park in town, was opened just a few months shy from the Movement Control Order (MCO) enforcement in March 2020. So, it is really exciting to see what Sunway has prepared to observe social distancing with their Drive Thru Dine In concept.

To simply put, one need to book either from Brunch, Lunch, Tea Hour or Dinner in their preorder online form and reservations should be made 3 days prior to the day you’re visiting. Upon arrival, we need to drive up to the designated car park and the staff would greet us and take our temperature, register our entrance in the MySejahtera system and move us along to our dining place that is set up few steps away. You can pick out from 10 gazebos at different locations available to suit your mood in the preorder form. Lovely ambience that’s easy on the eyes and everyone are seated a metre away from one another. Each gazebo is placed further from the neighbouring ones; separated nicely with decorations like trains and wooden boxes as the separating border.
There are 8 menus from different food and beverage outlets to choose from, and more are to come soon! Just scan the QR code provided on the table top to see the menu and place your order. Payments are made when the food arrives and it is encouraged to go cashless. Less contacts, less risk! Needless to say, dining alfresco under pretty gazebos gave us such a peace of mind when health and safety is prioritised, and it was an interesting experience, overall.
