Effective and seamless management of leases on strata titles for projects in Medini
Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) congratulates Pejabat Tanah & Galian Johor (PTG Johor) for launching an enhanced sub- module for strata leases in its existing e-strata system in an effort to improve their service delivery to the public.
Datuk Akmal Ahmad, Chief Operating Officer, IIB said, “We are grateful and thrilled with the launch of the sub-module by PTG Johor, as this would result in an effective and seamless process of registration and transfer of strata titles from developers to property buyers (end-users). We applaud PTG Johor’s efforts in developing this system that marks as an important milestone not only for the Medini Lease Scheme, but also for the national land administration system.”
This sub-module would benefit the 14 developers currently operating and progressing their projects in Medini. To date, more than 40 projects has been approved in Medini since 2012. The new e-strata sub module will facilitate various processes in property sales involving more than 3,000 property units in Medini.
With the launch of the sub-module, there is a fluid transition from the registration of leases on master titles to registration of leases on strata titles. Medini City is projected to reach 128,000 population in 2040 with an inclusive ecosystem to support the township.
Dato’ Haji Mohd Halim bin Hasbullah, Director of PTG Johor said in his speech, “We need to constantly find ways to enhance our level of service in the management and administration of land matters in order to effectively and efficiently fulfil expectations of our stakeholders. To deliver a comprehensive strata ownership process, an implementation method that addresses issues of lease registration and lease transfers was established and published in ‘Kompendium Tanah Johor’ in February this year.”
During the launch,, Dato’ Haji Mohd Halim also graciously presented strata titles to CI Medini Sdn Bhd and Tropika Istimewa Development Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of Mah Sing Group) for their commercial and residential developments in Medini City. Takeshi Matsukata, Managing Director of CI Medini Sdn Bhd and Datuk Ho Hon Sang, Chief Executive Officer of Mah Sing Group received the strata titles on behalf of their respective companies as well.
