Johor will see the completion of three health facility projects, namely the HSA Pathology Laboratory New Building Construction Project, Health Clinic Construction Project (Type 3) with Taman Ungku Tun Aminah Quarters and Health Clinic Construction Project (Type 5) with Palong Timur Quarters, Segamat.
According to Dr Zaliha Mustafa’s Facebook post about the handover ceremony of the
projects with the Public Works (JKR), the pathology laboratory is equipped with laboratory units such as the Chemical Pathology Laboratory, Microbiology Laboratory, Haematology Laboratory, and Anatomical Pathology Laboratory, as well as a Laboratory Information System (LIS) that will help patients receive their laboratory results in a shorter time by 16%.
“The Ministry of Health is also pleased to announce that 56 additional posts have been approved to support the operation of the new pathology laboratory.”
“For the 2 health clinics that were handed over, the clinics can now provide health services to the surrounding population with greater capacity as well as additional to existing services including Outpatient Clinic, Mother and Child Clinic, Emergency Unit, Pharmacy, Imaging, Rehabilitation Unit as well as the Stop Smoking and Addiction Clinic and the Healthy Youth Clinic,” she said.
