Entrepreneurs show their support at Entrepreneur Carnival 2019 (KUWAN 2019)
Johor Corporation (Jcorp) via its subsidiary Waqaf An-nur Corporation Berhad (WANCorp) successfully leveraged 444 micro entrepreneurs to expand its business through a syariah-compliant non-interest-bearing financing scheme (Dana Niaga) worth RM 1.05 million since 2007.
According to Dato’ Kamaruzzaman Abu Kassim, President and Chief Executive of Jcorp, the financing of Dana Niaga focuses on target groups who need prudent and comprehensive guidance to advance their business to a prestigious level.
“Competitive entrepreneurs who receive business funding will be guided through entrepreneur development courses covering various modules such as business management, motivation and marketing. We provide non-interest free schemes ranging from RM3000 to RM7000 to micro entrepreneurs with a financing period of up to 3 years with business conditions being compliant with syariah laws and registered under SSM”, he added.
Earlier, more than 1000 visitors had attended the Waqaf An-Nur Entrepreneur Carnival 2019 (KUWAN 2019) which was held at @Mart Kempas Johor Bahru.
The two-day carnival involved the participation of 26 exhibitors comprising of micro entrepreneurs of Dana Niaga, entrepreneur’s planning classes and from Johor agencies such as Permodalan Usahawan National Berhad, Lembaga Perindustrian Nanas Malaysia, TEKUN National, Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia and Perbadanan Usahawan Johor, as well as handicrafts.
Meanwhile, through a speech, Johor MB Datuk Dr Sahruddin stated the state government welcomed the efforts of JCorp in bringing and promoting the products and business of local entrepreneurs to the community through KUWAN 2019 which is seen as the best medium for entrepreneurs to share knowledge, information and business proposals for mutual benefits.
