More than 50 youth participants gathered at the Johor Youth Forum (JYF) Series 1: Rewrite Your Career Story to gain insights into career preparation and discover the skills required to thrive in an escalating, competitive, and technology-driven environment. AIESEC in Johor Bahru, a youth-led organisation that provides leadership development opportunities for young people, organised the forum.
The event was honoured by the presence of distinguished speakers and partners, including DayOne, Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA), and Seng as a Corporate Trainer & Youth Development. Engaging panel discussions and sharing sessions exposed delegates to valuable perspectives on career development, employability skills, leadership, and the future of work.
During the opening ceremony, Lim Jia Yi, Head of the Youth Leadership Programme of AIESEC in Johor Bahru, emphasised the importance of adaptability, resilience, and leadership in preparing youth for the future workplace. Besides, she also highlighted that career readiness extends beyond academic qualifications and requires continuous learning and proactive leadership. AIESEC in Johor Bahru extends its appreciation to all the supporting partners for their commitment to youth development and their belief in future leaders.
As the first instalment of the Johor Youth Forum initiative, this event marks the beginning of the larger journey to inspire, connect, and empower young people across Johor.
