What Do You Look For in a Buffet?

0

There are many instances where a group of people have conflicted interests on what to have for a get-together meal. That would not be the case if you decide to step into Renaissance Johor Bahru hotel’s latest International Dinner Buffet at Café BLD! Let me walk you through my personal favourites.

Sushi and Hummus side by side

You can’t call it international if there is no sushi offered on the table! Dip in the vinegar and soy sauce as an appetiser. If Japanese is not your cup of tea, then go for some Middle-Eastern salads such a Tabouleh, an Arabic take on salad with vinegar dressing. If it gets too sour to your liking, dig your bread with hummus as a remedy for the palate before you explore the main courses.

Seafood on ice would “call out to you” upon entering

Seafood

Travelling to another end of the shore to find the best seafood isn’t the best thing to do now but you can get some great selections of fresh seafood on ice! Paired with choices of sauces available, you could mix and match and even experiment to your heart’s content. If that’s not all, grab a plate of seafood spaghetti or even Oven-baked Seabass, Baked oysters and locals’ favourite – Chilli crab to complete your seafood galore.

Nasi Biryani Kambing, for that delicious melt in your mouth pieces of lambs and fragrant rice

Nasi Biryani Kambing and Roasted Chicken Rice

After your delicious pick of seafood, save space for some mouthwatering Nasi Biryani Kambing and Roasted Chicken Rice that are served in natural, wooden barrels that keep the food stay warm and fragrant. The biryani rice goes well with other dishes served on the counters including tandoori items, beef sirloin or even satays. The chicken rice of course goes well with its condiments.

Dessert

Desserts are the merriest section, with its colourful and extensive choices of sweet treats to wrap up your buffet journey. Bread pudding and nut-based pastries are my not-too-sweet choices to end the evening.

Durian fans watch out for the durian-based pastries moving around the café starting from 8pm. So plan your buffet wisely because you don’t want to miss these prized items!

Seafood specials and the durian-based desserts are exclusively available on Friday and Saturday Dinner buffet only from 6:30pm – 9:30pm at RM88nett per pax. 50% off for children aged 6 to 12 years old.

Dinner buffet from Sunday to Thursday are priced at RM70nett and lunch buffet commences at 12pm to 3pm daily for RM58nett.
