Frontier Park in Desa Cemerlang clinched three prestigious national and international level awards in two years – making it among the first industrial parks in Johor and probably in Malaysia to do so.

Frontier Park won the Edgeprop’s Best Managed Property & Sustainable Awards 2021, the FIABCI Malaysia Property Awards 2021 and the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2022, presented in Paris in June.

Park developer WB Land Sdn Bhd recently marked this milestone of excellence with a night of celebration where Frontier Community was treated to food, drinks and live entertainment.

Frontier Phase 2 owners each received a special plaque from WB Land Managing Director Kevin Woon in appreciation of their support which led to Frontier winning the much-coveted awards.

WB Land continued its winning spree with a fourth award days after the event when Frontier Park received a Special Mention at the Green Accord Initiative Awards (GAIA) by Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA).

Retracing the history and concept of Frontier Park, Woon said WB Land had set out to build a holistic park where the external environment would be as crucial as the factory building itself.

“With that singular goal in mind, we made extra efforts to design and set up the park, educate the community on sustainability, and now manage the completed Phase 2. We will continue in our Phase 3.

“Our company’s mission is ‘Engineering Progress Together’. As such, we hope to deploy our expertise to help you achieve more in their business. I am grateful to the Frontier Park community for believing in us. For that, we say ‘Thank You’,” he added.

Winning these awards was only the beginning and this would motivate WB Land to do more for the Frontier Community. At the event, WB Land also recognised the support and contributions of its business partners and associates.

Frontier Park is an established E&E and export-oriented industrial park that houses home-grown manufacturers and foreign-based investors from Singapore, Germany, Japan, China and Korea.

Frontier Park phase 1 and phase 2 have been fully sold and occupied, with most end-users being the factory owners. Frontier Park 3 is currently underway, set to become the first in Malaysia to be solar-ready, where companies can now go green without the fuss and be pre-installed before they move in.

Woon shared that their ultimate goal was to create a business campus where companies could aspire to a greater sense of purpose. Post-pandemic, he said, the world was moving at a faster pace towards ESG (environment, social and governance) and he hoped Frontier could be an enabler for the future of business.

Other plans include building another dormitory, launching the next Semi-Detached factory soon, and upgrading the central park.
