Following the refurbishment of guest rooms and banquet facilities that started since last November, Thistle Johor Bahru gave a sneak preview by hosting a Hari Raya themed dinner for 300 guests from the corporate, government, travel agencies, state and national tourism as well as media members.
The dinner saw lucky guests winning hotel stays and other guests were presented with a room voucher entitling them to stay in Thistle’s refurbished deluxe sea view room at a special rate of RM208 nett per night inclusive of breakfast. Helmi Gimmick, one of Malaysia’s top performers entertained the guests.
Rebranded in 2009 as Thistle Johor Bahru, the hotel embarked on a major refurbishment project for its 381 rooms and suites from November 2018 and it will be completed by September 2019.
The 381 refurbished rooms and suites include the King and Twin version of its Deluxe Standard, Deluxe Straits View, Executive Standard, Executive Straits View, Jr Suite, Family Suite, Terrace Suite, and Presidential Suite.
