A Tree for a Tree
For every tree removed in the development of the township, one or two trees will be planted back in its place and to date; there are 4,100 shrubs and trees from the nursery that are planted within the township.

The 7km Pendas River with a rich, 7.5mil square feet of mangrove forest alongside it is meticulously preserved by the development despite the rapid development at Sunway City Iskandar Puteri.
Environmental Impact Assessment
Special buffer zones and wild life sanctuary were created to protect both the flora and fauna of Sunway City Iskandar Puteri. Pendas River monitoring was also established to ensure its longevity.
Sustainable Construction
The township has extended its effort by using green material, products, monitoring the noise, air and water every month while every project was actively under construction.
Indoor and Outdoor Quality Environment
Sunway embraces the idea of a natural environment by using natural lighting and ventilation in its interconnected malls. Outdoor, the township has developed and engineered each precinct to be self-sustaining integrated developments to promote a low carbon footprint.
Sunway City Iskandar Puteri has stood out from the competition by cultivating environmental initiatives that they have obtained green certifications such as the GreenRe and GBI. In addition to that, the initiatives also include installation of solar panel on the rooftop of Sunway Big Box Mall, Sunway International School and soon to open SJK C Cheah Fah, rain water harvesting, and green label product. Others in the pipeline are the Solar & Farm project as well as establishing a mangrove conservation centre.
