As social gatherings are allowed now after a lapse of almost 2 years, Trinidad Suites Puteri Harbour in Iskandar Puteri started their year-end festivities by hosting 50 children, age 7 to 15 years old within the Johor Bahru district for a Christmas luncheon. These children are from the B40 community identified by an NGO named Glocal Helping Hand.
“The children were entertained by the Raffles American School Band and students of United Singers by Carol Gomez,” said the founder and chairman of Glocal Helping Hand, Poonam Singh.
Trinidad Suites Puteri Harbour appreciates every gesture to spread joy and love during the Christmas season this year. “The hospitality industry has been in a tough situation due to the pandemic; however, this should not prevent us from giving back to the community whenever possible. We are looking forward to more projects and opportunities to serve the community in the coming year,” highlighted Gerard Chan, the Hotel Manager of Trinidad Suites Puteri Harbour.
The event was in partnership with Glocal Helping Hand, an NGO formed in 2017 to help the local community with the mission of zero food hunger. The children not only took back cheerful memories with them but also presents including goodie bags containing foodstuff and souvenirs.
