The Ministry of Education (MOE) recently stated that the academic calendar for the 2022/2023 school session for states in Group A will run from 21st March 2022 to 11th March 2023.
The school year would begin on the same day for schools in Group B states but will end on 12th March 2023.
Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu are in Group A, while Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Pulau Pinang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, and the three Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, and Putrajaya are in Group B.
The MOE also recently announced that the third term of the 2021/2022 school session will begin on 2nd January 2022 and continue through 20th March 2022 for states in Group A, and from 3rd January to 20th March 2022 for states in Group B.

Meanwhile, some schools in Johor have already started with blended learning where students of a class are divided into two groups and attend school on a weekly rotation.
