The Private Education Entrepreneur Association of Malaysia (PEEAM) will be hosting the 2nd PEEAM Private Education Awards later this year

With pandemic constraints looming since last year and to date, it has proven to be a difficult year for many corporate sectors. The education sector is no exception, particularly the private sector.

This year, the Malaysian Private Education Entrepreneur Association (PEEAM) will conduct the 2nd PEEAM Private Education Awards to honour exceptional education entrepreneurs. PEEAM will add Education Business Sustainability, Outstanding Education Centre, Outstanding Education Franchisor, Outstanding Education Licensor, Inspiring Learning Spaces, Outstanding Education Product & Services, and Outstanding Virtual Learning to its award categories this year.

“We aim to provide continued support to the private education sector and to recognise and honour exceptional entrepreneurs, individuals and organisations that have shown great contributions in leading the education industry throughout the pandemic. The goal is for the awards to become the most credible Private Education Awards in Malaysia,” said Datin Nonadiah Abdullah, Chairman of PEEAM.

The Awards also hope to encourage others by highlighting role models of greatness. The purpose is to recognise industry professionals for their outstanding contributions to the education sector while also raising public awareness of new, developing and leading educational institutions.

PEEAM EduAwards theme – ‘The Shining Edupreneurs’, hosted by PEEAM and organised by Uniquecom, will be a virtual award ceremony on 4th December 2021 from 6 pm to 10 pm, offering free nominations for private edupreneurs and free admission for visitors.

“The awards consist of seven (7) categories and are targeted to all K12 private education institutions ranging from Childcare centres (TASKA), Kindergartens (Tadika), Daycares (Pusat Jagaan), Tuition centres, Enrichment Centres, Private Schools and Educational Products and Services. The closing date for nomination is on 30th September 2021 (Thursday), 23.59pm,” said Jeff Tan Chin Horng, the Organising Committee Chairman of PEEAM EduAwards 2021.
