Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility this Syawal by donating and contributing to the Johor community. Dato’ Idzham Mohd Hashim, President/Chief Executive Officer, presented the donations at IIB’s Raya Open recently. The presentation was attended by Dato’ Hasni Mohammad, former Johor Menteri Besar and Chairman of the Johor Sustainability Centre, Datuk Pandak Ahmad, Kota Iskandar Assemblyman, and the IIB Board of Directors.
Over RM50,000 in total were donated Persatuan Cerebral Palsy Johor, Pertubuhan Ibu Tunggal Care Negeri Johor Darul Takzim, Persatuan Kerencatan Akal Johor, Persatuan Cacat Penglihatan Malaysia Negeri Johor and Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Anwarul Mahabbah Care Centre Johor Bahru.
These organisations play a crucial role in addressing various social needs and assisting those less fortunate. IIB’s contributions aim to alleviate some of their financial burdens and ensure they can continue to help those in need celebrate Raya with greater ease.
Significant Zakat Contribution Marks Commitment
IIB also volunteered to pay RM3 million in zakat perniagaan to the Johor State Government through Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Johor during the Ramadan month. Additionally, IIB supported over 8,000 asnaf recipients across Johor, valued at RM115,000.00.
This initiative highlights IIB’s dedication to making a positive impact, particularly during this festive season of reflection and generosity.
