Nur Ezmien announces her entry into the publishing scene with the release of “The Pink & Purple Sky” (published by Partridge Singapore), a true-life account of her late husband’s battle with cancer, the remedies their family tried to explore and the relations surrounding them.

This book is Ezmien’s personal experience on being a caregiver wife to the love of her life, from the time they found out that he has incurable cancer until his last breath. The emotion, the difficulties worked hand-in-hand with the joy that we tried to have within the borrowed time. She has also included personal pictures to show what their family is like and how the disease had changed her husband’s physical features.

“One in every four Singaporeans will be affected by cancer. And this deadly disease does not only impact the patient but the people surrounding them, as well. The most impacted is the caregiver and in most families, the spouse. This book explores and chronicles the life of the wife of the cancer fighter,” Ezmien says.

When asked what she wants readers to take away from the book, Ezmien answers, “The prognosis of life does noes affect the quality of life and the faith and love triumph, even when death comes knocking.”

“Reflections” will be featured at the 2023 Sharjah International Book Fair in Sharjah, UAE, on November 1- 12, 2023.
