Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) and its Group of Companies expressed their gratitude to the Johor state government and welcome the budget allocation for digital technology and talent development initiatives in the Johor 2021 Budget as announced by Johor Menteri Besar Johor Datuk Ir. Haji Hasni bin Mohammad.
Themed “Berdaya Tahan Demi Kemakmuran”, the budget announcement is a recognition of IIB’s role as a strategic partner in enabling the state’s Digital Johor and Talent Development agenda in Iskandar Malaysia. IIB appreciates the continuous support, opportunities and trust given by the state government to IIB to be the state’s strategic partner in positioning Iskandar Puteri as a leading hub for drone & robotics, innovation, talent development and digital technology.
President/Chief Executive Officer of IIB, Datuk Ir. Khairil Anwar Ahmad said, “IIB Group of Companies has been focusing on digital technology and talent development for Iskandar Puteri’s next phase of growth. We are grateful to the allocation granted by the state as this will further accelerate the development of a digital and talent hub in Iskandar Puteri which will attract high-impact investments and highly skilled talent to Johor. The recently announced collaboration with various industry players under the Iskandar NEXT programme was our first step towards that goal, and the recognition and budget allocation from the State is definitely a boost.”
Datuk Ir. Khairil added that IIB would be the bridge between the state government and industry players in achieving Johor Vision 2030. With several brand name firms and institutions as existing partners, and now with the support of the Johor state, IIB is well-positioned to realise the state’s Digital Johor and Talent Development agenda.
