Entry to Singapore is expected to be smoother and quicker, starting 22nd September 2025, when the car lanes at CIQ BSI & KSAB will use the MyNIISe QR Code.

Starting on 22nd September 2025 and continuing to 28th February 2026, the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) will implement the National Integrated Immigration System (NIISe) on a trial basis, particularly at the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex (KSAB) and Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI), Johor.

Fazli Salleh, chairman of the Johor’s works, transportation, infrastructure and communication committee, said on his Facebook page that there will be no need to wait for long at the counter; just scan the QR code and enter directly, and that there is a special trial period for the public to try it themselves.

This trial will continue in stages at the country’s five main international airports (LTA), namely KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, Bayan Lepas, Penang, Kuching, Sarawak and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, during that period.

According to Jabatan Immigration Malaysia’s Facebook post-dated 22 February 2025, NIISe is a comprehensive and integrated immigration system, leveraging the latest technology and sophistication and optimising automation to ensure the quality of immigration service delivery meets user expectations.

The official application of the Malaysian Immigration Department could be registered with three different methods: via MyDigital ID with digital identity verification, MyKad using an identity card and lastly with a passport, applicable for both citizens & non-citizens.

NIISe in its Facebook page said that the immigration process is still the same, existing QR codes can still be used as usual.

MyNIISe application can be downloaded now on the Apple App Store, Google Play & Huawei AppGallery.
