Gleneagles Medini Hospital raised over RM25,000 to raise cancer awareness through a charity run
Gleneagles Medini Hospital Johor organised a 5km Cancer Awareness Charity Run at its hospital grounds with more than 800 participants of both locals and expatriates making an effort for a charitable cause. The charity run brought people together who showed their support towards beating cancer while offering much-needed support for those suffering.
The event saw a large number of families and children from different backgrounds, some bearing their own personal stories and connections to loved ones who have been affected by cancer.
Participants received a T-shirt, medal and goodie bag each. All proceeds from the contribution goes to non-governmental organisations such as the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation, Breast Cancer Support Group Johor Bahru and ICare Cancer Support Association Johor Bahru.
“As we strive to become the leading healthcare provider in the southern region, providing best-in-class patient experience and clinical outcomes for our patients, we remain committed to contribute to our communities where we operate and serve as part of our corporate social responsibility. We will continuously identify opportunities to undertake community projects to help those in need,” said Chief Executive Officer of Gleneagles Medini Hospital Johor, Jean-Francois Naa.
