MADANI Rakyat 2024 Programme is Coming to Johor for Southern Zone

Various interesting events related to ‘A Year of MADANI Economy’ will soon colour the MADANI Rakyat 2024 Programme South Zone and a Year of MADANI Economy, which will be held at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Square, Skudai, Johor Bahru, from 15th to 17th August 2024 (Thursday to Saturday).

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) will be coordinating this programme through the Performance Leap Coordination Unit (PACU), in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Economy (KE) and the Johor State Government.

The MADANI Rakyat 2024 Southern Zone programme encompasses Johor, Negeri Sembilan, and Melaka.

The programme will concentrate on the implementation of MADANI economic policy, as well as the government’s ongoing commitment to empowering people, entrepreneurs, and industry since its inception a year ago.

Through initiatives like charitable donations, early schooling assistance, microfinance services, housing credit guarantee schemes, and the accomplishments of the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030) and the Energy Transition Roadmap National (NETR), the government can educate the public about the successes and advantages of the MADANI economy through this platform.

Activities pertaining to people’s well-being, the unity agenda, TVET and career carnivals, tourism, agriculture, food security, and rural well-being will be highlighted in this programme. Additionally, there are exhibitions and services pertaining to STEM education and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as a variety of services offered by federal and state government agencies, such as the display of government assets.

Furthermore, guests can take advantage of MADANI sales, which provide special discounts and deals on everyday essentials. The private sector, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and government-linked companies (GLCs) are strategically collaborating on this programme.

The Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, will wrap up the MADANI Rakyat 2024 Southern Zone Programme and the MADANI Economic Year on 17th August 2024 (Saturday). The highest ranking officials from the Federal and State Governments will also be present.

The public is invited to come together to the MADANI Rakyat 2024 South Zone Programme and a MADANI Economic Year on 15th and 16th August 2024 (Thursday–Friday), starting at 9.00 am to 10.00 pm and on 17th August 2024 (Saturday), from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm.

The People’s MADANI Programme is a continuation of the government-sponsored MADANI One-Year Programme, which took place in December 2023 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

This programme continues at the state level by zone to give the local community the opportunity to jointly understand and evaluate the policies and initiatives implemented by the MADANI government.

Additionally, this initiative offers a channel through which the community can directly access federal and state government ministries and agencies for services.

In addition, the people can voice their views and suggestions to improve the quality of government services to develop a more prosperous country, in line with the Malaysia MADANI agenda.

The MADANI Rakyat 2024 programme has started with implementation in the Central Zone from 23rd to 25th February 2024 at the Kuala Selangor Sports Complex, Selangor, through the strategic cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) and the Selangor State Government.

Meanwhile, the MADANI Rakyat 2024 North Zone programme took place from 3rd to 5th May 2024 at Sungai Nibong Fair Grounds, Penang, with strategic cooperation between the Penang State Government and the Ministry of Transport (MOT).

Recently, the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), together with the Pahang State Government, has successfully organised the MADANI Rakyat 2024 East Zone Programme at Dataran Sayangi Kuantan, Pahang, from 5th to 7th July 2024.
