The Johor MATTA Fair 2019 is holding its 30th MATTA fair on the 2nd to 4th of August 2019 at their new committed venue, Capital City Expo, Tampoi, Johor Bahru while the 8th fair in Batu Pahat, Johor will be held earlier from 27th to 28th July at The Summit, Batu Pahat. Partnering with water theme park, hotels & resorts giant; Desaru Development Holdings One Sdn Bhd and Malaysia Airlines, patrons can expect a lot of exciting freebies and prizes.
As issue of holiday packages scam arises, Kathryn Lee as the Chairwoman of Johor MATTA Chapter states to the consumers to go to a legitimate travel agent to buy travel packages. “Do not go online and buy your own travel packages,” she said. “All exhibitors in our fair have to display their KPK license which is issued by MOTAC,” stressing on the importance to cross check the eligibility of the travel agencies offering too-good-to-be-true packages. Travel agencies are not allowed to be a part of the fair if they don’t have the KPK license.
MATTA Fair Committee Chairman, Kenny Ng said the fair is going to be the largest to date with 45 travel agencies and 50 exhibitors with 150 booth space with a target of RM10million of sales and over 13,000 visitors.
2 major lucky draws comprising of visitors draw and purchasers draw will be held on the final day of the fair (4th August). Visitors and purchasers can get a chance to win travel vouchers and air tickets worth RM100,000. The visitors’ draw would be held at 9.30pm where 12 air tickets to Thailand will be given away and the purchasers’ draw would take place at 10pm.
The fair entrance fee is RM3 for adults and free for children below 12 years old.
