Malaysians love Hari Raya as it is full of family, friends and feasting. Here’s a simple tea-time recipe this Hari Raya Haji:
Pulut Panggang
Make a light and easy pulut panggang (grilled stuffed glutinous rice parcels) at home. Prep and cook time: 1-2 hours, serves: 4 pax
Glutinous rice ingredients:
1/2 cup of glutinous rice (soaked for 30 minutes)
100ml coconut milk
A pinch of salt
Other ingredients:
Banana leaves
1/2 can yumeat Plant-based Minced Meat with Bean Paste 195g
Toothpicks
Method:
1. Steam glutinous rice for 5 minutes. Combine with coconut milk and salt. Steam again until fully cooked.
- Let the glutinous rice cool.
- Prepare the banana leaves. Add glutinous rice and a little yumeat Plant-based Minced Meat with Bean Paste.
- Wrap neatly. Secure both ends with toothpicks.
- Grill in a hot pan.
Enjoy it hot with a cup of tea.
