Launch of Sea Life Education Programme with the Ministry of Education
It is safe to say that most of us grew up with a toy set of building blocks with the popular brand being LEGO. Playing is essential for children as it improves their motor skills and enhances their creativity, which is linked to problem-solving abilities and therefore, it is only natural to allow our children to explore and play, as learning naturally comes with it.
LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort (LEGOLAND) has launched a Sea Life Education Programme recently where it targets children between 6 – 12 years old to foster their scientific understanding and knowledge on environmental protection at their new Sea Life park; an educational aquarium with marine creatures from local and overseas waters.
As a part of their community outreach, LEGOLAND is giving away 10,000 free tickets to students and teachers from rural schools in November. The initiative is backed by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the State Department of Education (JPN). The event was officiated by MoE Secretary General, Dato’ Dr. Mohd Gazali bin Abas, representative to the Minister of Education Dr. Maszlee Malik.
Prior to the launch of Sea Life Education Programme, LEGOLAND has been visiting schools around Peninsular Malaysia with its Eduplay Express Bus. The bus has visited more than 1,000 schools over 3 years to bring the LEGOLAND learning experience directly to the students, offering an interactive learning platform to them.

The programmes include Little Marine Biologist, Let’s Build a Food Chain, and Why Recycling Matters to Marine Animals.
