Johor Bahru Happy and Joyous Club (JBHJC) celebrated their 1000th online Zoom Laughter with more singing and dancing presented by their members

Johor Bahru Happy and Joyous Club (JBHJC) has officially reached their 1000th daily live broadcast on the 11th of December 2022.

The daily live broadcast that was done online was first set up to help connect laughing yoga members in Malaysia in order to maintain positivity through morning sessions that they specifically dubbed as ‘Zoom Laughter’.

It then reached people worldwide especially during the COVID-19 period when quarantine and social distancing was in place for two years since 2020.

Organised free for all to join without any charge, the celebration of the 1000th live broadcast was also in the same fashion where over a hundred laughter practitioners were gathered and joined by the co-founders of Laughter Yoga Clubs, Dr Madan Kataria and Madhuri Kataria who relayed their congratulatory messages to the club for its achievement and their consistent effort throughout the years.

“JBHJC is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) and its main activities are Laughter Yoga, Clowning, Drum Circle and others that bring joy and happiness to the community,” said the club in their statement.

“Prior to the pandemic, these activities had been brought to hospitals/clinics, old folks’ homes, colleges, schools, police stations, dialysis centres, corporate companies, town councils, residential gardens/parks and many NGOs.”

During the COVID-19 pandemic, almost all activities were online with free workshops pertaining to joy and happiness for the community.

JBHJC still hosts yoga laughter daily for everyone to join for free, and actively organises events online and even offline.
