KPRJ Officiates SAKJ Bandar Putra 2 with Modern and Conducive Design

Over 1,000 students and staffs will benefit from proper classrooms and facilities replacing the shophouse that was a temporary substitution

Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd (KPRJ) has launched a full fledge school, SAKJ Bandar Putra 2 in Kulai, Johor after its completion and admissions in 2019. Officiated by Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Ir. Hasni Mohammad who is also the chairman of KPRJ, the launch event was attended by Johor Financial Officer, Datuk A Rahim Nin, State Chairman of Islamic Religious Affairs Committee, Dato’ Haji Tosrin Jarvanthi and KPRJ CEO, Dato’ Haji Mohd Noorazam.

The District Action Council (JKTD) has counselled KPRJ after a meeting on 3rd October in 2016 to build the school and KPRJ has arranged the construction through KPRJ’s subsidiary, KPRJ Builders Sdn Bhd (KBSB). Johor Religious Affair Department (MAINJ) during the time of the school construction rented 3 shop houses in Jalan Merbau, Bandar Putra Kulai, Johor which has a limitation of 10 classrooms, as a temporary substitute from 2014 until 2019.

Built on a 1.08 acre land, SAKJ Bandar Putra 2 includes open halls, library, classrooms, main hall, canteen, teachers room, preschool, guard house, waste disposal house, bicycle shed and bus stop, as well as home to 1,674 students which include 500 students from SAKJ Bandar Putra 1, 164 special degree students (Darjah Khas), 20 Johor religious preschool students and 27 teachers.

The officiation event also saw the MB handing over a symbolic plaque to 3 latest SAKJ schools under KPRJ to MAINJ’s Sekolah Agama Ibnu Sina (Phase 5), Sekolah Agama Senai Jaya (Phase 5) and Sekolah Agama Bandar Putra 2 during the Open Day of Religious Affair held at Putra City Hall, Bandar Putra Kulai, Johor.

SAKJ Bandar Putra 2 headmaster, Noridah Mudiar said that since the school was located right in front of the residential area, the school has discussed with the mosque next to them to share the parking area where students can embark and disembark from school bus or parents’ transportation safely.

KPRJ CEO Dato’ Haji Mohd Noorazam Haji Osman said, “As the main contractor for SAKJ Development Project, we have always ensured that the quality, design refurbishment and facilities to be our primary focus,” citing that KPRJ vowed to continue shouldering the state’s trust in developing SAKJ’s projects with the best of interest at heart and in mind. He also said that KPRJ would be committed to contributing to involving SAKJs’ beyond the scope of works under the conglomerate’s very own Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme known as KPRJ-HOPE.
