Since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, the network of 16 hospitals comprising Gleneagles Hospitals, Pantai Hospitals and Prince Court Medical Centre in Malaysia under IHH Healthcare has put into place strict measures to ensure its patients and staffs are well protected.
An extensive Preparedness and Safety Plan developed in January by a multidisciplinary team of consultants and the management team has been instrumental in the early detection of COVID-19 cases at the hospitals.
The Plan entails screening and triaging at the hospitals’ designated entrances, practising proper hand hygiene, providing personal protection equipment for staff and regular cleaning at high-touch areas such as elevators, escalators, door handles and safety railings to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Safety begins with our medical staffs who are always precautious and well-trained. They are equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) such as face masks, disposable gloves, head gear, eye protection, isolation gowns and safety footwear.
Additional precautionary measures in the hospitals include the provision of hand sanitisers at entrances of hospitals, medical wards and emergency departments and regular disinfection of offices and equipment.

At Gleneagles Hospitals, Pantai Hospitals and Prince Court Medical Centre, all visitors are required to declare their health status via an online check-in platform for efficient contact tracing.
As a value-added service, Gleneagles and Pantai Hospitals have also launched eHealth to help patients who are unable to visit its hospitals. eHealth is an easy-to-use, private and secure online platform that connects patients to top specialists of their choice from the comfort of their home
