In the Johor Budget Speech 2023, Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi has announced one of the initiatives, under the People’s Housing Development Strategy about holding the Johor Property Expo (JPEX), to give those who are qualified an opportunity to buy Johor Affordable Homes and Bumiputera lots as direct offers from developers.
He launched the four-day JPEX 2023 at Padang Akasia, Plaza Angsana Johor Bahru, from July 27 to July 30 2023, which featured 66 exhibitors from government organisations, real estate developers, industry players, and financial institutions to promote and highlight projects and products under one roof.
Also present were the Deputy Minister of Local Government Development (KPKT), Haji Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir, Johor Government Secretary, Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Haji Azmi Rohani, chairman of the Johor State Housing and Local Government Committee, Dato’ Haji Mohd Jafni Md Shukor, Members of the Johor Government Meeting Council (AMMK), Johor State Finance Officer, Dato’ Haji Salehuddin Haji Hassan, Chief Executive of the Johor State Housing Development Corporation (PKPJ), Datin Paduka Dr Hajah Suhailizan Suliman, Johor Bahru District Officer, Haji Muzaldin Mohamed, Deputy Secretaries of Johor Government as well as the Heads of Federal, State and Agency Departments.
The JPEX 2023 was a large event organised for the first time as a platform to match prospective buyers with suitable offers, such as discounts, rebates, and competitive loan interest rates, to assist people in attaining home ownership, while providing the public an opportunity to explore the real estate ownership options available in the current market.
JPEX 2023 also offered nearly 30,000 real estate stocks, including Johor Affordable Homes (RMMJ), Bumiputera Lot properties, and the free market to support the promotion of housing projects, increase sales of homes and commercial properties, and record various positive impacts through incentives provided, as well as the economic impact on the Johor real estate market.
