Johor Police sends 318 personnel to assist in the Negeri Sembilan State Election

290 personnel were assigned to general duties, while the other 28 were traffic personnel

Johor Police sent 318 personnel to help with security and management aspects in conjunction with the Negeri Sembilan State Election (PRN) which will be held this Saturday, 1st August 2026.

Johor Police Chief, Datuk Ab Rahaman Arsad said that the human resource assistance began to be mobilised on Thursday, 30th July 2026 and will be on duty until two days after polling day.

Of the total, 290 personnel were assigned to general duties, while the other 28 were traffic personnel.

“In addition, we also have the Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) and the Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) team through Op Cantas which are currently ready at the Johor Contingent base and will be mobilised at any time if needed,” he said.

He said this to reporters after the Johor Contingent Monthly Assembly, where the Release of Human Resource Assistance ceremony from the Johor Contingent to the Negeri Sembilan Contingent at the Parade Ground, IPK Johor took place.

The 16th Negeri Sembilan state election on 1st August will involve a contest for all 36 State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seats to select elected representatives who will form the state government for the new term.
