With the help of Grab, Southeast Asia’s premier super app, DASB, Johor Corporation’s property services arm, introduces “JMart,” which will gather selected wet market traders in Larkin Sentral under one digital roof.

With Grab as the delivery platform partner, JMart will allow consumers to mix and match their orders from numerous wet market sellers in Larkin Sentral, extending its reach and convenience to people in the area.

Hazman Hilmi Sallahuddin, Managing Director of DASB, said, “We are excited to introduce JMart to the consumers in Johor Bahru, bringing together wet market traders in properties under our management on a single platform, and assisting them to sell fresh produce, poultry and seafood online. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are keen to bring a new way of shopping in a safe and convenient way. This initiative is very much aligned with our company’s digital plans, at the same time, giving consumers a new channel to continue buying fresh products from our tenants.”

Tan Jiong Jian, Head, Commercial & Partnership of Grab Malaysia added, “As a tech enabler, we want to help small traditional merchants transition their business online through our ecosystem of services. With more consumers adopting delivery services for their everyday essentials, supporting DASB is definitely in line with our ongoing efforts to help businesses embrace technology to cater to a wider consumer base.  With the launch of JMart, we are confident that consumers will find it more seamless and convenient to shop online and have their groceries delivered directly to them. This would be a safer and cost-efficient way to purchase a variety of groceries from different wet market traders under JMart”.

DASB will be able to provide a hassle-free experience for clients by launching the JMart Specialty Store on the Grab App, which will allow customers to have their groceries delivered to their doorsteps.

Starting in Larkin Sentral, Johor Bahru, further offerings at wet markets at Pusat Perniagaan Taman Dahlia and @Mart Kempas will be added in the coming months.
