Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) brought a total of 11 goals to the Malaysia quarterfinal after winning against PDRM FC in the second leg match at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri.
The Cops defended their goalpost up until the 66th minute, when the triple hat-trick scorer from the previous match, Teto Martin, scored the singular goal for JDT with the help of Jairo da Silva.
JDT gaffer, Xisco Munoz, has expressed disappointment in managing only one goal for this match in its post-match press conference after living large with two-digit balls behind the net in the first leg.
Munoz said that although JDT had many scoring opportunities, the team’s performance level made it difficult for them to fully dominate the game and score goals consistently. “I think this was not our best night. We can still improve a lot of things, both in terms of attack and defence.”
“Tonight we saw a lot of important things, and one of our main tasks is to learn from our mistakes, especially in terms of attitude, character and behaviour,” he said.
Munoz stressed that his team needed to remain focused despite their big win over PDRM FC when asked regarding preparations for the upcoming quarter-final match.
JDT will host Melaka FC for the quarter-final’s first leg on 13th February 2026 at 8.15pm. Tickets would be sold at tickethotline.com and will be announced via JOHOR Southern Tigers’ and JDT’s official social media pages.
Ahead of that match, JDT has faced Myanmar’s Shan United for the Shopee Cup on 29th January and Imigresen FC on 1st February, both played at home.
