The Johor Chinese Football Association (JCFA) has donated 1200 bags of rice weighing 10kg each to The Sultan Ibrahim Johor Foundation (SIJF) to help those in need.
Datuk Ng See Bu, JCFA’s advisor and its Chairman Datuk Mark Kuang Chia Chun presented the rice contribution to Mayor Datuk David Wong Khong Soon who represented His Majesty, the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Sultan Iskandar.
JCFA chose to contribute to SIJF as His Majesty through a statement in his Facebook page has mentioned having deep concerns in helping the needy people in the state. YSIJ has been delivering contributions to the people regardless of race or religion since April last year to ease their burdens, especially the ones who were deeply affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Datuk Mark in a statement hopes that more parties including non-governmental organisations will continue contributing to the society.
Meanwhile, in a separate news, SIJF in collaboration with Season Optical has contributed spectacles worth RM500,000 to 2500 school students in the state. According to a statement in His Majesty’s Facebook page, a specially designated truck will visit all the districts and check the eyes of the students in need with the cooperation of the school.
His Majesty, who received a delegation from SIJF and Season Optical at Istana Flintstones in Mersing, Johor on 22nd February, later checked out the truck and also took the opportunity to have his eyes examined by the company’s staff.
Also present were SIJF Board of Trustees Member, Dato’ Avinderjit Singh; SIJF CEO, Fadhly Suffian Laili and Season Optical CEO, Calvin Chung.
