ibis Styles Johor Iskandar Puteri commemorated her 4th Anniversary with an evening of celebration, sustainability and community engagement, marked by a Christmas Cocktail 2025 and the achievement of the prestigious international Green Key Certification.
The celebration commenced with the arrival of guests, followed by a welcome address delivered by the hotel’s General Manager, Charanita Gill, who reflected on the hotel’s four-year journey since opening in 2021 under the management of Accor International.
The event also included a community initiative under the Gift of Hope Christmas Tree Programme, highlighting the hotel’s continued commitment to community service.
A key highlight of the evening was the Green Key Accreditation ceremony, presented by the Director General of Tourism Malaysia, Mohd Amirul Rizal Bin Abdul Rahim.
ibis Styles Johor Iskandar Puteri proudly made history as the first hotel in Johor to receive this international Green Key Certification, a globally recognised standard awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education for excellence in environmental responsibility and sustainable operations.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the Green Key plaque and a photography session with the hotel’s Head of Departments.
“This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible hospitality. It also aligns closely with Johor’s vision for green and sustainable development,” Charanita said.
“We are grateful for the strong support of our partners, including Promise Earth and Wonderful Landscape, who have been instrumental in this journey.” she added.
In keeping with the season of giving, the hotel also reaffirmed its social responsibility through the Gift of Hope Christmas Tree Programme, now in its third consecutive year.
In collaboration with Kawasan Rukun Tetangga Taman Nusa Perintis 2, the initiative supports underprivileged children from B40 families by providing school essentials ahead of the 2026 academic term.
The celebration continued with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, symbolising hope, unity and gratitude, followed by a festive fireworks display. Guests then enjoyed an evening of live music performances and Christmas cocktails, creating a warm and memorable atmosphere in the spirirt of the season.
As ibis Styles Johor Iskandar Puteri marks four years of growth and achievement, the celebration served as a tribute to its dedicated team members proudly known as “Heartists”, loyal guests, business partners, and stakeholders whose trust and support have shaped the hotel’s success.
