Syahirefuddin bin Mohamad Sairi, fondly known as “Alfredo”, has secured the Gold Medal in the recent WCC 92 Pasta Challenge at the prestigious World Chefs Championship 2025, held at Persada Johor International Convention Centre, Johor Bahru.

At just 27 years of age, Chef Alfredo wowed the judges with his award-winning dish, “Squid Ink Spaghetti with Calamari Pesto”. A bold and flavourful creation that stood out for its finesse, presentation and originality. Competing among culinary professionals from 17 countries across 225 categories, his performance was nothing short of outstanding.
