The Lions Club of Tanjung Petri celebrated their 35th anniversary with roaring success among its peers and distinguished guests which included Guest of Honour, Dorothy Ong, District Governor of 308B1 Presiding officer, President Eling Chong of Lions Club Tanjung Petri Datuk Kelvin Lee, representative of Persekutuan Tiong-Hua Johor Bahru and other dignitaries and invitees.

The evening highlighted the Club’s successes and their fundraising efforts for their education project known as the FACE project to aid the B40 students of Foon Yew High School and other secondary schools, after 2 years of the MCO.

Despite its long existence, the Club pledges to be an active and relevant club. This is evidenced by the relentless efforts of the organising committee members in successfully gathering 70 tables of members, sponsors and well-wishers for this event in just a month.

With support and donations, the Club managed to raise RM170,000 for the students, just RM30,000 away from their initial target of RM200,000.

The President shared their gratitude to all their regular donors and contributors who have been generously contributing to their FACE education project for the past 21 years which has benefited more than 1640 deserving students.
