Gerak Teater Johor Seals Collaboration with Yayasan Warisan Johor

Yayasan Warisan Johor (YWJ) further solidifies its collaboration with Gerak Teater Johor (GTJ) through the Signing Ceremony for the Sahmura 2025 Theatre Performance Agreement held on 4th March 2025 at the Main Meeting Room, Kompleks Warisan Sultan Abu Bakar, Yayasan Warisan Johor.

The signing ceremony was officiated by Fairuzahri bin Jalaluddin, Director of Yayasan Warisan Johor together with Azri Azmi bin Abd Aziz, Production Director.

Also present at the ceremony were Sarina binti Taslim, Deputy Director of Yayasan Warisan Johor; Wahyu Budiwa Rendra bin A. Wahid, Head of Heritage Research and Documentation Division; Muhammad Qaim Qays bin Azmi, Head of Public Relations, Media & Corporate; and Siti Fadilah binti Sulaiman, Production Manager.

Gerak Teater Johor will be organising a children’s musical theatre titled Magika: Pengembaraan Tanpa Penghujung (Magika: Endless Adventure) from 31st May to 1st June 2025.

“Magika: Pengembaraan Tanpa Penghujung – a children’s musical theatre that has been planned for the past two years with the dream of creating a performance that will be remembered forever,” said Azri Azmi bin Abd Aziz, or known as Senja Kala, the Production Director.

“This 90-minute theatre is filled with mesmerising acting, singing, and dancing. A total of 10 songs have been beautifully arranged, taking the audience into the world of Magika with various emotions and wonders,” he said, adding that the lyrics to all the songs were written by him and mentioned that the anticipation of this theatre has spread to Singapore’s arts enthusiasts.

“…I just received word that a bus from Singapore will be coming to see this performance! Thank you Opera Academy (OA) and NadiPutera—may the relationship between GTJ and OA continue to be strong,” he concluded.
