The ‘Ten Toes Fun Run’, a heartwarming event organised by Ten Toes Academy in collaboration with Lions Club International District 308 B3 and JCI Austin Perdana, took place on the 28th of October 2023, at Johor Bahru Eco Spring.
The Ten Toes Fun Run had its first two successful runs in Kuala Lumpur and Melaka, and this was the third stop. Bringing together over 400 participants from Johor Bahru and over 1000 kids and parents from the two preceding stations, the event brought thousands of people together in an incredible demonstration of solidarity for kids fighting cancer.
Raising money for the Lions Club Childhood Cancer Foundation was the main goal of the Ten Toes Fun Run, a cause that all participants were passionate about. The Ten Toes Fun Run aims to significantly impact the lives of these courageous young fighters who are fighting childhood cancer. Childhood cancer is a disease that no kid or family should have to fight alone.
The event’s opening ceremony was graced by MP Jimmy Puah Wee Tse for Tebrau, Johor Bahru, who showed his support for this noble cause. Mandy Heng, CEO of Ten Toes Academy, delivered an inspiring welcome speech, highlighting the importance of coming together as a community to support those in need.
The Ten Toes Fun Run was a celebration of optimism, resiliency, and the strength of community rather than merely a race. The old and the young had put on their running shoes in an effort to improve the lives of kids facing the hardest battle of all.
