It is that time of the year again when our Muslim friends embark on their month-long fasting. April is also a special month as Malaysia has finally reopened its borders to all travellers. It is a great feeling for those who will finally get to reunite with their family and friends whom they have not seen in such a long time.

It’s a quiet time this month as there are no latest flicks releasing just yet, and as for Music updates, do check out its tab for any latest singles or albums released by your favourite superstars!

Under our Food tab, we have been sharing various Buka Puasa options at the local hotels in the region. Although some sceptics have called on people to not dine at the hotels to break their fast, I think the main point of what is being reiterated is to not waste any food. We definitely second that notion and call upon everyone not only those who are breaking their fast but all Malaysians to not waste any food on their plates wherever they may be dining at. Eat according to your limit and your body will thank you as well!

As most hotels have opened their doors for staycations and dining-in for vaccinated visitors, do keep abreast of any latest updates and announcements from the government before making any hotel bookings. Ensure the place you’ve booked has COVID-19 cancellation or postponement policies and check out our Travel column for travel escapades that you can embark on.

As always, for those wishing to share their fashion collection, travel tales, or like us to review your restaurant/hotel for a staycation, drop me an e-mail at waves.lifestyle@gmail.com and be featured. For more news, do access www.theiskandarian.com.

The Iskandarian would like to wish all our Muslim readers – Selamat Berpuasa.
