The Elevated Autonomous Rapid Transit (E-ART) project, which will be deployed in three major corridors in Johor, is projected to provide a long-term solution to traffic congestion in Johor Bahru City.

This initiative will help key industries such as retail, food, and tourism in addition to facilitating logistics and transit movement.  Lee Ting Han, Exco of Johor Investment, Trade, Consumer Affairs, and Human Resources, stated that the project’s implementation is consistent with the progress of the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link Project, which is scheduled to begin operations in January 2027.

“E-ART is a long-term solution to address the problem of traffic congestion in Johor Bahru. When it begins operating, this system will complement existing public transportation such as buses, taxis, and RTS Link,” he said.

He also believes that the collaboration between E-ART and RTS Link will have a significant economic impact on the state of Johor.

Lee Ting Han stated this to the media following a meeting session of the Rahmah MADANI Sales Programme (PJRM) at the Johor Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) in Taman Perling Market, Johor Bahru.
