The start of the New Year 2024 is a great time for millions of people around the world, and at Columbia Asia Hospital—Iskandar Puteri (CAH-IP), five couples celebrated the New Year by welcoming their new additions to the family.
The arrival of a newborn marks a new beginning in every sense of the word, especially for the first New Year’s baby in the hospital. Nadiah Ruslan, 37, a Housewife, gave birth to her second child, a healthy and beautiful baby girl weighing 3.35 kg, on 1st January 2024 at 2.05 a.m. Her husband, M. Ainnul Azmir, 39, who works as a Maintenance Officer, felt happy because they would celebrate their daughter’s birthday on New Year’s Day every year. The couple planned for the daughter to be delivered in the month of January and was grateful for the arrival of their newborn on this memorable day.
Meanwhile, Yap Ren Qian, 30, a Pharmacist, gave birth to her first child at 7.48 a.m. She and her husband, Ong Ching Yao, 30, also a Pharmacist, were blessed with a 2.70kg baby boy. The couple from Taman Nusa Sentral, Iskandar Puteri, felt grateful for the baby’s healthy and safe delivery. The couple thanked the doctors, midwives, and nurses for the great service and hospitality given at the hospital.
Also, on New Year Day, Kow Hui Ting, 24, who work in the banking industry, and Tan Zhi Zhong, 25, who also works as a Banker, were overwhelmed by the arrival of their second child, a cute 2.74kg baby girl, at 7.45 a.m. The couple from Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru, was thrilled and felt blessed that their baby had arrived on such a significant day. They thanked the doctors and nurses for the advice and care given throughout their pregnancy journey.
Zoe Wong Shu Chi, 28, a Housewife, and her Businessman husband, Tan Jee Hoe, 35, celebrated the early arrival of their second child, a baby boy weighing 3.60 kg, at 12.37 p.m. The due date of the baby’s delivery was 9 January 2024. The couple from Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru, was happy for the arrival of their baby on New Year’s Day. They felt grateful for the baby’s healthy and safe delivery.
Another couple from Taman Mutiara Bestari, Skudai, Johor, Sai Remalatha Rajeswari, 43, a Human Resource Manager, and her husband, Ravi Subramaniyam, 49, a Real Estate Agent, welcomed their third child, a cute 2.73kg baby girl. She was admitted to CAH-IP on the same day and delivered the baby at 11.12 am. The couple thanked everyone at CAH-IP for making sure everything went smoothly for them.
All mothers and babies were well under the care of the hospital’s Consultant Obstetrics & Gynecologist; Dr Rajesh Mahendran Radha Krishnan, Dr Rohaini Md Jonit, Dr Quek Yek Song, Dr Hezrin Nazlin Mohamed, and Consultant Pediatrician Dr. Victor Gong Hee Hung, assisted by well-trained midwives and nurses of CAH-IP.
