Ushering the year of the Rat for Chinese New Year, Columbia Asia Hospital held a lively event attended by medical consultants, corporate clients, partners, patients and staff with estimated 300 guests turning up for the event. The vent kicked off with a special lion dance performance, followed by the ceremonial tossing of Yee Sang, the appearance of the God of Prosperity and a lunch ceremony.

The event was officiated by Columbia Asia Regional General Manager (Southern Region), Rahani Yaacob and CAH-IP General Manager, Dr Ding Eng Li. The hospital’s 10th Year Anniversary logo was also launched at the event.
“The objective of the event is to celebrate the Lunar New Year with all our corporate clients, partners and loyal patients who have been with us since we started operating. In this year of the Rat, we hope everyone will be prosperously blessed with wealth and success,” said Dr Ding.

We must continue to work hard in delivering the best clinical outcomes in the most effective, efficient and caring environment as well as to provide communities with effective healthcare at excellent value, and continue to be the preferred choice for families and businesses, aligned with our corporate mission,” added Dr Ding.
CAH-IP hospital is staffed by 24 resident consultants, 5 medical officers and 9 visiting medical specialists and more than 400 nursing, paramedical and support staff.
Currently under construction, a new medical ward will accommodate a Coronary Care Unit Ward with an additional 23 beds and expanding the new Accident & Emergency area with a larger waiting area and more emergency bays to meet the growing population of the hospital. It is forecasted to be operational in the third quarter of 2020.
