In the spirit of compassion and togetherness this Christmas season, Shechinah Association Johor Bahru, in collaboration with Good News Deliverance Church, organised Christmas at the streets of Johor Bahru, a street outreach dedicated to serving the homeless, urban poor, and vulnerable families in the city.
The event took place on the 13th of December 2025, from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Jalan Ungku Puan, Johor Bahru. This initiative brought comfort, encouragement, and meaningful human connection to those facing hardship during the festive season.
The programme featured Christmas carols, motivational sharing, and community engagement activities designed to uplift spirits and restore dignity. As part of the outreach, warm meals were distributed to approximately 500 individuals, ensuring that no one is left behind during this season of giving.
“Christmas is a season of hope and generosity. Through this outreach, we seek to extend love, care, and dignity to those who are often unseen, reminding them that they are valued and remembered,” said a representative from Shechinah Association Johor Bahru.
The public and corporate partners are still welcome to support the initiative through donations of essential items such as clothing, towels, mats, shoes, slippers, and other suitable giveaway items.
