Get authentic Indian’s favourite street food fix right in Johor

Having a taste of authentic Indian street food, better known as ‘chaat’ in its native is a great delight! No wonder people are coming as far as from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore just to dine-in a plate of the sweet yet savoury snack here at The Spice Kitchen restaurant in Bukit Indah.

The Chaat Station – a great new addition to the Spice Kitchen restaurant

Chaat originates from North India and are traditionally sold in small stalls or push-carts, making it popular all over India. So one just had to take advantage of these authentic chaats made by a chaat maker especially flown in from India!

Enjoy more spice in your dessert? Samosa Chaat is your answer

Everything might look the same at one glance but once you take a spoonful of each item, you get to taste the difference and find your own perfect chaat to pair with the restaurant’s special masala tea. Personally, the ‘Bombay Papdi Chaat’ is great for appetiser and I love its slight tanginess coming from the bits of onions and lovely gravy made of yoghurt. Each chaat item is priced at around RM15.99 to RM25.99.

Pani Puri is a joyful and fun dessert – pour some of the sauce inside to complete the dish!

Should one prefer a slightly hot on tongue in their chaat, I would recommend ‘Samosa Chaat’ that has chickpeas and potatoes with more enhanced spice taste. For the sweet tooth, ‘Dahi Papdi Chaat’ is the best choice as it comes in with more of that sweet yoghurt. ‘Sev Puri Chaat’ and ‘Pani Puri’ are the most fun ones to try as you have to eat a mouthful at once! The bursts of various flavours would definitely excite children and adults alike.

Sev Puri Chaat – remember to eat one mouthful at once!

The Chaat Station in The Spice Kitchen opens every day but is closed on Monday, but the restaurant is operating as per usual.

Kesari for dessert to round up your chaat experience is a great choice
