Supt Azrol Anuar bin Nor, is the new acting Officer in Charge of the Police District (OCPD) of the Johor Bahru North District beginning 1st December 2025.
He succeeds SAC Balveer Singh Mahindar Singh, who is currently the Northern Brigade Commander of the General Operations Force after leading the district’s police headquarters for over two years.
The ceremony of handing over of duties was held at the Johor Bahru North district police headquarters, witnessed by Johor Police Chief CP Datuk Ab Rahaman Arsad.
According to Bernama, Azrol Anuar, 43, has urged all of his officers and members to continue providing strong cooperation in combating criminal activities, thereby maintaining public order.
With 22 years of experience, he says efforts to reduce crime and bullying are among his top priorities.
“School engagement will be increased, as will traffic congestion control and public safety,” he stated.
In his speech at the ceremony, Ab Rahaman expressed his confidence that Azrol will effectively govern the high-profile north Johor Bahru area, which has a diverse community.
“I am confident that as acting head, he will be able to continue the momentum of excellence while also maintaining readiness, member discipline, community relations, and the team’s image,” he reportedly stated.
