Despite the pandemic, there is no limitation on the implementation of the Create@ Alibaba Cloud Startup Contest 2021. This year’s “Olympic” contest known as venture capitalists was completely shifted to the cloud and grandly staged virtually as a platform for collecting technological start-ups.
Since its inauguration in August 2021, the participants of the Create@ Alibaba Cloud Startup Contest 2021 have advanced from the TOP 50 to the TOP 20, and eventually to the ASEAN FINAL TOP 3. HOMA, PENTAIP, and WorldTech are the top three finalists.
HOMA, which has ranked first, is a platform that provides low-cost building materials and home finishing items with an emphasis on sustainability. TOP 2 is PENTAIP, a fintech and deep tech startup specialising in Robo-advisors 4.0, and TOP 3 is Worldtech, which focuses on Endpoint Bigdata Platform with the goal of assisting customers in mitigating operation risks and gaining maximum cost savings by optimising organisational resources.
The top three ASEAN Finalists will virtually advance to the Global Grand Final in Hangzhou, China.
It is hoped that this challenge would benefit local entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses internationally. We also plan to aid them throughout their business growth through a series of scheduled events, which will include workshops and programmes to guide them into the new era of digital transformation.
As the world learns to embrace the new normal, the Create@Alibaba Cloud aspire to improve and nurture local firms by educating them on how to enter the tech company and ecosystem. In a way, ensuring that they not only survive but also flourish in the middle of this progression.
