Health can’t be bought with wealth; however, taking good care of it is what you can do with the wealth that you have. And the seventh newly rebranded Thai Odyssey outlet in Mid Valley, Southkey, Johor, is the perfect place for you to keep your wellness at its optimum.

Thai Odyssey Managing Director, Din Tan Yong Chia said, “Mid Valley Southkey is Johor’s single biggest integrated retail and commercial development to date, and there is no better way we would like to kick off our 20th anniversary celebration than by opening our doors in this prime location, the flagship Zone A of Iskandar Malaysia.”

“In much the same way a child grows into adulthood, every brand undergoes a transformative journey. We have embarked on a metamorphosis that breathes new life into the very essence of traditional Thai wellness and a brand-wide renewed commitment to revitalising the Thai Odyssey experience for our customers”.

“Not only is this a pivotal moment since our establishment in 2004, it is also a conscious choice to embrace the growth and maturity of our brand while cherishing the enduring of our core values—Pure Massage, Timeless Tradition—a fitting tagline to our reinterpretation of centuries-old practices passed down through generations to make it accessible and beneficial to metropolitans in today’s fast-paced world,” he added.

Its opening ceremony was graced with the presence of Royal Thai Embassy Minister-Counsellor of Commercial Affairs and Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) Malaysia Director Worawan Wanwil alongside Thai Odyssey Director of Sales & Marketing, Samantha Tan and Thai Odyssey General Manager, Dylen Gan. McKinley Group Executive Directors, Wythe See Yuan Feng and Kyon Lua congratulated Thai Odyssey by sponsoring their products, Udders Ice Cream and Hazukido Malaysia, for guests to savour at the event.

As the second-largest outlet in Malaysia, spanning 6,275 sq. ft., the premise can accommodate up to 36 guests at a time with 28 beds and eight seating, including facilities like three couple rooms.

Customer-favourite massage services are available here, namely the Thai Traditional Massage, Thai Aromatherapy Massage, Thai Herbal Therapy, Traditional Foot Massage, and Half-Body Massage.

The Iskandarian were privileged to have first-hand experience of the outlet’s service. Salamahafifi opted for the Thai Aromatherapy Massage with Signature Oil to relax and unwind in one of their single rooms.

She had a cup of Thai herbal tea made of lemongrass and pandan before the masseuse took her time and slowly worked her hands to untangle the tight knots around her body, especially on the neck.

“I dozed off for a bit and thought it was already 1 hour; it turns out to be only 30 minutes. It’s as if time stood still and I was in a timeless room,” she recalled her experience. She also made a small request to massage the stomach as well, and the masseuse, with over 10 years of experience, did wonderfully.

“Towards the end of the aromatherapy massage, she closed it with a traditional Thai massage where she stretched my body, which was refreshing after the oil massage,” said Fifi, fresh after another cup of tea that concluded her session.

I had the same tea while marvelling and learning about their products at their tastefully-decorated, Waiting Lounge.

Thai Odyssey appears to understand their customers, as they reaffirm their commitment to providing a second-to-none Thai massage experience to loyal Malaysian customers, as well as sharing the effort to boost Johor Bahru’s tourism to attract international visitors from neighbouring countries such as Singapore.

While featuring a fresh new look, this outlet will carry on the essence and philosophy of the brand’s approach to wellness, offering a calm and peaceful sanctuary and a curated range of treatments for customers’ wellness and pampering needs.

As an opening special, Thai Odyssey has debuted its voucher booklet “Exclusive Royal Treats,” containing 12 pieces of delectable vouchers worth over RM1,300 in value, some of which are never-before seen promotions.

Priced at RM49.90, this booklet is sold only at the Mid Valley Southkey outlet, while stock lasts. Customers can use the vouchers to enjoy a variety of offers, such as discounts, cash rebates, free services, and self-care products.

Currently available in-store and online are the aroma bath gel, conditioning shampoo, hand soap, body scrub, original balm, eye pillow set, and massage oils, along with service and RM50 and RM100 Cash Vouchers that are perfect for gifts.

Thai Odyssey has also pre-amped us that a whole new range of responsibly sourced spa products is on the schedule to roll out this year.
