After social distancing regulations were lifted in the nation’s transition to endemic phase, one of the places that I have been looking forward to patron again was the Le Grandeur Palm Resort Johor, as it is personally, one of my family’s favourite fast-breaking buffet options.
I was delighted to learn that their famed Nasi Biryani is on the menu! The fragrant, Lamb Biryani with perfectly tomato sauce-coated Ayam Masak Merah and the sweet and sour Paceri Nenas makes its own party in my mouth! I had another scoop of biryani rice, this time to make it a seafood sensation with their spicy, Chinese-style Mussels and Lala Chilli Egg. How I love having a buffet because we could mix and match however we please and it could make a lovely combination like this one I just had!
I was then served the piping hot Gearbox Soup, a must try according to Lynn Halim, the resort’s longtime serving personnel. It turns out the hearty broth of the bone marrow soup is perfect after the spicy ordeal I’ve just had.
Cooling myself with a chilled glass of fruit juice, I went straight to the dessert section and choose the fluffy, Creamy Puffs beside the cut fruits.
Le Grandeur Palm Resort Johor’s Ramadan Iftar buffet is priced at RM128 per adult and RM68 for kids aged 4 to 11 years old. Purchase for 5 adults and 1 adult eats for free. Bookings are available until 20 April 2023.
