After a fierce battle, the host, Kolej Komuniti Segamat 2, emerged as the overall winners of the Johor State Community College Sports Tournament.

This is the first time the college has won this championship since it was held in 2008, with five gold and five bronze medals in the five events.

Kolej Komuniti Segamat 2’s championship as the Overall Champion of the Johor State Community College Sports Championship was confirmed at the last minute, when Woodball and Petanque became the “last saviour” for the home team, which had previously competed fiercely with Kolej Komuniti Bandar Penawar, who brought home four gold and one silver medal.

For the 16th time, 290 athletes from community colleges across Johor State competed in the Johor State Community College Sports Championship (KSKK), which was officiated by Dato’ Zahari Sarip, Chairman of Johor State’s Agriculture, Agro-Based Industry, and Rural Development Committee, and Buloh Kasap Assemblyman.

This tournament featured twelve Johor State Community Colleges, including Kolej Komuniti Segamat 2, Kolej Komuniti Kluang, Kolej Komuniti Segamat, Kolej Komuniti Bandar Penawar, Kolej Komuniti Pasir Gudang, Kolej Komuniti Ledang, Kolej Komuniti Batu Pahat, Kolej Komuniti Pagoh, Kolej Komuniti Muar, Kolej Komuniti Kota Tinggi, Kolej Komuniti Tanjung Piai, and Kolej Komuniti Bandar Tenggara.

According to the sports event organising committee, community college students are not only educated to always excel in the academic field, but are also great in the co-curricular fields.

This edition featured five sports categories, namely, Petanque and Woodball at Segamat Community College 2, Netball at SMK Dato’ Ahmad Arshad, Futsal at Segamat Futsal Centre, and Badminton at RKAT Hall, 4RAD Camp Segamat.
