Yayasan Khazanah, the scholarship arm of Yayasan Hasanah, is launching two new scholarships this year, namely the Khazanah Lestari Scholarship Programme and the Yayasan Khazanah ACE2 Executive Short Courses Programme.

The scholarship is aimed at filling the talent gap in the country in a more holistic manner by providing myriad opportunities to those wanting to pursue academic and executive enrichment programmes on sustainability development. The scholarship also aims to ensure the needs for future jobs and competencies are addressed accordingly.

Speaking on the Khazanah Lestari Scholarship Programme, Shahira Ahmed Bazari, Board of Trustee at Yayasan Khazanah and Managing Director of Yayasan Hasanah (the impact-based foundation of Khazanah Nasional Berhad) said that the organisation was proud to be contributing towards the national agenda by increasing accessibility to fields of study that would be critical to the nation’s future success and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030. “As we progress into the 21st century, it is becoming increasingly clear that there are certain sets of skills, competencies and industries that are needed to navigate future challenges like climate resilience, big data and artificial intelligence, and a new economic and social paradigm.”

This post-graduate scholarship will support the tuition fees, living allowance, a round trip economy class ticket, medical insurance, and alumni & network support for eligible applicants.

“Yayasan Khazanah has disbursed over 1,000 scholarships over the past 15 years and we are committed to continue investing in talent development and build the pipeline of future leaders for the country. Whether it is eradicating child poverty through education, ensuring the preservation of our majestic forests or celebrating the arts and our unique cultural heritage; we believe this scholarship will form a vital piece of the puzzle to our nation’s continued sustainability and success,” added Shahira Ahmed Bazari.

More immediately, Yayasan Khazanah will also be rolling out the application process for Khazanah ACE2 Executive Short Courses starting April and, in this programme, Yayasan Khazanah is offering funds for those who would like to up-skill themselves with Executive Short Courses.
